Jobs and Unemplyment Benefits

Ever wonder why Democrats want to extend unemployment benefits? They don’t want to have to change the formula on how their number is calculated. If unemployment benefits are not extended, then those people would revert to the ” out of workforce ” category dropping the percentage. Then how would they explain a 5% unemployment rate in this economy?
