Listening to all the politically correct (P C) hacks is this Country complain about stupid minutiae shit is sickening. But seeing them accept the political mafias of our government as leaders, doers and righteousness politicians is even more disturbing. This what’s in it for Me, way of governing has created everything our founding fathers put in the constitution to protect us from.
To represent the people a politician should be banned from receiving any value from any entity, corporation, group, charity or individual, by so doing is buying influence.
The maximum individual contribution to any political candidate should be $10.00, with maximum of $10,000,000 a candidate can amass for any one campaign. Personally contributing to their own campaign should be capped at an amount of 10% of donation they have received from the People. All company, corporation, unions, fraternal organizations, charities and lobbyists should be banned from contributing anything of value to a political candidate.
This Country is for the people and only the people as individuals should control who serves, not rich people, not the companies, corporations, charities, unions, foreign governments, etc.. The federal government may match any amount a candidate receives from running for a given position and they can only run for one position in a 12 month period.
This would start to create a level playing field for anyone wanting to serve their country and its people.
Then we bring in term limits (2) so no one person or group of people can create a position of authority/influence over any other severing member.
While in office and 5 years following their term they should not be able to work for, receive any value from or materially enrich themselves from any other government office, lobbyist or corporation doing business with the government, they can run for elected office again.
Remuneration should include salary, healthcare, expenses, 4 weeks vacation, transportation and housing allowance matching that of the private sector. Retirement should only be available after 25 aggregate years of service in the government including military service. Each elected position would come with an operating budget of $5,000,000. a Year for staff, office supplies and aids. Any money saved from their budget would accumulate each year of their term and would be granted as bonus upon successful completion of their term.
Starting here you don’t have to be a millionaire to serve your country, you just have work very hard to get elected. With the internet in our daily lives and new technology developing daily we have to change the way the people are best served by their government.
