Do The Math-Jobs

According to the government there are 3.3 million high school graduates each year. That’s 277,000 every month that need jobs, the ones that go to college are still count they still enter the job pool 4 years latter. Then add in the ones that don’t graduate but still need jobs and don’t forget the 200,000ish that lost their jobs and file for unemployment each month. That is the number you see advertised on the news every month, the feel good number they want you to think things are getting better.

They, both Republicans  and Democrats like this system of counting because the numbers are irrelevant to what is really happening in the business of creating jobs. It also hides the truth so either side looks like they are doing a good job and can’t be blamed so much.

If we add in those not working and not counted, that could use or need jobs to be productive contributing citizens, that number could add as many 700,000 a month.

The real number of new jobs needed each month is around 900,000 for the next 10 years.
