I just learned that the VA’s new improved program from the government orders is misleading/deceptive in that the 40 miles or more distance is just to make it look caring. If you live within 40 miles of any VA facility, even if that facility does not provide the medical services you need, you do not qualify. The closest VA facility to me that has a dermatology department is 70 miles and my 72 year body must drive there.
Reading about the program in the news and listening to the politicians talk about it, makes you think they care about us veterans, they don’t. It is all wordmanship!
