Politicians are the best bosses in the world! After all who wouldn’t want a boss who never fires or lays off an employee, no matter how inefficient, unproductive or bad the employee is at the job. They will let you retire with full benefits, if you really screw up.
Any business that is loosing money, running over budget or has production problems starts with laying off people or firing them, something the government never has done.
A 10% across the board job cut of all federal employees would be a start to turning the country around. The various departments would struggle for a month or so and the department heads should be charged with making it work and boosting productivity or they will be replaced.
The following year a 5% cut should be implemented, that’s how you get ride of dead wood.
