There is talk about changing the stand your ground law, that’s fine if they change the assault laws and penalties Too.
Stand your ground protects the innocent people by alerting the attacker that they can end up dead by creating a crime, and it works quite well because the attacker has no idea that his victim is armed.
Maybe they need to do some educating that this the situation TODAY.
But, if they want to change it, then make the minimum sentence for assault, rape and robbery of a individual 25 years in prison.
Crime is out of control and getting worse, the innocent Americans need protection and there must be deterrents that stop these type of crime.
Lets face it a 98 pound woman does not stand a chance against a 200 pound man wanting to do harm!
And yes, the stand your ground law works, but in the recent the case it was very costly for the victim!
